How can I place my order?
Placing an order with us is easy. Simply click “Order” button on the screen and follow the instructions.
How do I make Photo Splits?
PhotoSplits will break a photograph into various panels or canvases. When they are viewed together they will reproduce the full scene. When filling out an order you will have a number of choices with this option. You can select the number of panels you want and select the frame width. It can either be 1.5” or 0.75”. You can also select the size. This would be the size made by the panels when they are placed next to one another. After uploading your image the calculations would be done by us. The required image manipulations for creating PhotoSplits would also be done by us. This option is available in a few configuration and size. How do I make Wall Displays and what are these all about?
Wall displays allow you to place an order for multiple canvases with multiple images at a special price. We currently offer twelve types of groupings and each one can create a very unique display. If you want to go for the wall display option, you can select from these twelve different configurations.
Would I be able to convert a color photograph into sepia or black and white?
Yes. When filling out the order you will have the option to convert your color photos to sepia or to a black and white. Our pfofessional will ensue that the canvas will look rich and sharp so it seems that it had been photographed originally that way.
How are thin and thick gallery wraps different?
We offer the gallery wrap option in thin, and thick. The difference will be the stretcher bar thickness, i.e. the wooden frame that your canvas would be wrapped around. The thick wrap will include wooden stretcher bars of 1.5” thickness. The look is modern and clean and would be ready to mount on the wall. The thin gallery wrap will include stretcher bars of 0.75” thickness. If you want to custom frame the canvas, this would be a suitable choice.
What would go on the sides of the canvas?
Canvases are 3D, unlike photographs. The canvas sides can be a solid color or it can be the extension of the image itself. Image wrap will let the image edges to be continued to the canvas sides. If the image has been tightly cropped we can use various different techniques for achieving a natural looking extension without any additional charge. You can also go for solid color for the image sides. Our team can isolate and use a color from the image itself or can use white and black for the sides.
Can I get the canvas framed?
We offer a few customized framing options. We offer a black and walnut standard wooden frame as well as floating frames in black, gold, silver and walnut. We also offer premium frames in premium silver and gold.
Why is my credit card charged before producing the product?
Everything that we produce is on demand and is customized. Therefore, the billing is done in advance before the work begins. However, we do offer 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Why don’t I see a credit card refund even after I cancelled the order?
Refund can take 7 to 10 working days for processing it through the credit card company. For ETA, kindly contact our customer service.
Image Preparation
What if something is wrong with my image?
Every order we receive is reviewed carefully before it is processed. Our representatives would contact you if something seems to be amiss to discuss the details further.
Can you crop my image?
We can artistically crop the image if you like to ensure that it will seamlessly fit into the selected canvas size. You can simply provide us the detailed description of the ideal cropping on the order form comments section. If the image cannot be accordingly cropped, our customer service team will contact you with suggestions.
Will my image be checked by anyone before it has been printed?
Yes. Our expert staff members check every image carefully before it is printed. Each image is checked to ensure that it is suitable for enlarging it to the selected canvas size. In case there is any issue with the image or if our team has any technique, shape or size recommendations they will be quick to contact you.
Would there be any extra charges for image touch up work?
All basic touching up needed in the image would be complimentary. Removing red eye, color correction, removing date stamp and exposure correction would all be done for free. We even repair minor blemishes or scratches free of charge. What makes this even better is that retouching is not automated like other studios. We have a team of digital imaging professionals who use their skills to ensure that your image would look just right before it is printed out on the canvas.
Do you perform extensive photo restoration and retouching?
Yes. We offer advanced retouching too. Advanced retouching services will include replacing or removing objects or people and restoring damaged or old pictures. Prices start as low as $25. Surprising, isn’t it? Yes, given the fact that we put a live, real editor on the job.
When will I receive the digital proof?
Typically, digital proofs are sent within one working day.
What type of image files do you accept?
We accept JPG, JPEG, GIF, TIFF and PNG.
What should I do if my image type is not supported on your site?
Contact our team for instructions and alternatives.
What maximum file sizes are accepted on the website?
The uploader on our site will accept files of 20MB size maximum. For larger files you can contact our customer support for alternatives.
How do I change the image originally submitted?
Get in touch with us at the earliest through email or phone and we will help you send out a new image.
What is the ideal image size for the best canvas print?
We specialize in handling images of all types and sizes. However, any image of 1 MB or larger size would be great for a canvas print.
If I go for image wrap how much of the image would be lost?
0.75” on each side in Thin Gallery Wrap and 1.5” in Thick.
Use and care
What is used for creating the canvas?
Our team includes professional image editors photographers. We also use the latest and the most advanced printing gear. We use Epson 9900 series printers, Ultra Chrome inks, and brilliant white cotton/poly, OBA free, 21 mil canvas. Every canvas is mounted on sustainable, kiln-dried, solid wooden stretcher bars.
How long would the canvas last?
Most canvas labs today print their canvas as per the Art Décor standard that tends to last for maximum of ten years. However, with the combination of care, material and equipment we use, your canvas will resist deterioration and fading from nothing less than 150 years!
What is the best way to hang the canvas?
The open-backed canvases with sawtooth hangers. If you are not quite sure how to use the hardware, you can contact us customer service team and they would be eager to help you. If you have ordered for finished back, the canvas back would be covered with a dust cover and hanging wire would be attached.
Can the artwork be hung outdoors?
Even though the canvases will have UV lamination, it is wise not to hang them outdoors under direct sunlight for a long time. Even though a water-resistant coating is used, it would not be completely waterproof.
Can the artwork be hung in a humid area like the bathroom?
Since canvas is an organic product which can swell and shrink because of significant temperature changes and humidity, it is best not to hang it over any heat source or in the bathroom.
How should I maintain and clean the canvas?
Use a soft duster. Damp cloth can also be used for cleaning the canvas face.
Shipping
When would the order be shipped?
Generally we ship the order within four to seven working days from the day of receiving the image. If you require the canvas earlier, kindly contact us. We will try our best to ensure that the order would reach you when you require it.
Would I get tracking information after the canvas has been shipped?
We will send you an email with the necessary details and a tracking number after we ship the order.
Can you gift wrap the canvas and include a note?
Yes. Simply contact us with details or include the note when you place the order.
How will the canvas be packed for shipping?
Each canvas print will travel in absolute cushioned luxury. Their accommodation consists of custom-engineered for protecting and cradling them through the journey. Therefore they will arrive at your doorstep absolutely flawless and without any damage at all.
Can my order be shipped to someone else?
Yes. We can even include a personal note from you with the package if you want. Simply provide us the details when placing the order. We understand the concept of gift giving and therefore the receipt would not be included in the package when the billing address is different than the shipping address.
What are the shipping options?
Standard shipping is FREE with any order. Our Free shipping will take 4-9 business days from the time your order is shipped. We ship via Canada Post and FedEx ground service.

What is the return policy?

In case you are not satisfied with the canvas, kindly contact us and we will take care of the problem at the earliest. The canvas can be returned for refund or an exchange within 365 days from shipment.

Is this website secure?

What information about copyrights should I be aware of?
Copyright gives the owner the right to publicly display, distribute, copy and create derivative work from the original content. It also provides the owner right to license the right to other individuals.
Is my photograph protected?
Your photograph will be protected under copyright as soon as it has been created. What this means is that even if you buy the digital file or print from the photographer, you will need to confirm details about making reproductions of the item.
How long will the copyright last?
Currently, copyright term lasts as long as the creator does. In this case, the copyright would hold for as long as the photographer lives plus 70 additional years.
A few things to consider:
Purchasing digital file or print from the photographer would not provide you the copyright for it.
As per the 1976 Federal Copyright Act, a photograph would be copyright protected as soon as it is created.
You cannot create derivative works, publicly display, post online, distribute, send them or scan them to others or copy the photograph unless you have specific permission to do so from the photographer.
Professional photographers depend on the ability of controlling the photograph reproductions they create and therefore it affects the livelihood and income of their family.
Reproducing photographs without a permission is a copyright infringement and it can result in criminal and civil penalties.
Making legal copies from professional photographs:
The copyright owner/photographer should be first contacted. They would be more than willing to discuss various options for photograph reproduction.
Check the back and the front of the print for the notice. If it is sports, school or any other type of photograph you may also have to contact the school or the institution where the photograph had been made.
The Photographer Registry site can also be used for locating a photographer. The website is www.photographerregistry.com where you can get permission or reproductions. You can easily search for the copyright owner if you have some information about the photograph or the photographer.
